La Vie parisienne, the second opera in the Offenbach Edition Keck (OEK) has been recently released, offering the first critical edition of the work to assemble a comprehensive resource for opera houses considering staging the work. For the first time ever all three different versions of La Vie parisienne are available in one single volume (1866/1867/1873).
Full score and vocal score were released in January, together allowing performers and producers to follow up the content of each individual version as well as to make their choices according to their demands. A CD-Rom containing the Critical Report, the history of the work, librettos in French, German and English as well as an iconography is attached to the full score.
This publication follows the issue in 2001 of the first volumes in the OEK series, devoted to Orphée aux Enfers, which were awarded the German Music Editions Prize for best publication of the year.
A special OEK website has just been launched, initially in German only. Please visit to explore the full range of material which will be encompassed by the Offenbach Edition Keck.
