Composer's Notes  
This little anthem for unaccompanied chorus was written as a tribute to Alexander Goeher on his 50th birthday. It sets a poem by Robert Bridges putting words into the mouth of the blind John Milton, puzzled, defiant and ultimately acquiescent in his affliction.
