The 11 gypsy songs & pieces in this collection are taken from the repertoire of the Dresden ensemble "Das Blaue Einhorn" (The Blue Unicorn). The arrangements by Paul Hoorn sound convincingly authentic & are primarily written for two melody instruments (or voice plus melody instrument) & accompaniment. You can choose the instruments, add octave doublings, leave out voices or improvise your own ideas to suite your taste. The themes of the pieces range from deeply sentimental to rousingly vivacious
