David Elliot is Professor of Music and Director of Music Education at New York University in New York City * Best known for his lively arrangements of jazz standards and folktunes appropriate for developing choirs * Author of many journal articles and book chapters, as well as the highly acclaimed Music Matters: A New Philosophy of Music Education * Has been a visiting professor of music education at Indiana University and Northwestern University and Chair of Music Education at University of Toronto
