Karl Jenkins

Jenkins is the composer of the million-selling album Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary (its sequels, Adiemus: Cantata Mundi and Adiemus: Dances of Time, also rapidly topped the charts). His music is widely familiar through TV advertising usage in the UK, such as the De Beers Diamond campaign (Palladio) and Delta Air Lines (Adiemus). His recent works include the opera for young people Eloise, based on a Nordic folk tale.

With a background both of classical training and of playing with Ronnie Scott's jazz band, his music's huge popularity comes from his fusion not only of classical and popular styles, but also pluralistic world music influences.
