Award-winning composer and music theoretician Roman Berger is widely respected for his stand against political repression in Eastern Europe during the last century. Roman Berger's music is virtually unknown in the record catalogues, but his tireless work during the political struggles of the 20th century in Eastern Europe as an administrator, music philosopher and composer, has resulted in his name being held in great affection amongst fellow musicians, including those who took his name to form The Berger Trio.
