For children's or women's choir (SSAA) and piano. English.
A setting of a text by James Whitcomb Riley, There is Ever a Song is accessible to the intermediate choir. Contrasting sections feature unaccompanied singing or playful word-painting, such as the 'twittering' of the birds, which is passed between voices and piano. This piece was written for the Logansport (Indiana) Children's Choir and sends a message to singers of all ages--that in life a song is always present, whether the skies appear "dark or fair."
