This set of Latin styled piano duets may be regarded as a collection of six individual pieces but has been composed so that more substantial performances may be given by combining them into two little suites. Beguine, Slow Tango and Conga form the first suite and Bossa Nova, Habanera and Samba form the second. Although written without any intention of capuring the definitive form of each of the dances, these duets exploit some of the mannerisms of popular Latin Styles.
