Written over a single week in May 1932, this Sextet is for two Violins, two Violas and two Cellos - plus optional Double Bass. The rebellious Martinu absorbed many influences throughout an interesting life spent living in his native Czechoslovakia, then France, Spain, Italy, the U.S. and Switzerland.
