3 Nocturnes for soprano saxophone and piano by Alex Nante, one of the best known Argentinian composers of his generation.

Written in homage to Claude Debussy for the centenary of his death, the title refers to both the French composer’s symphonic triptych, and to the allegory of the night that is present in several of my chamber music works. The relationship between the overall seemingly improvisatory tempo, and an inevitable meter, make each piece an excellent introduction the world of Debussy.

This work is intended for the beginner to intermediate level student, wishing to master the subtle dynamics of the soprano saxophone. They will enjoy developing a real chamber music relationship with their pianist, while acquiring the calm concentration and shared consciousness of tempo equilibrium.
