"One of Chris Norton's skills is to write music which is enjoyable to perform but not too taxing for amateur performers of limited technique. So he provides us with arrangements which last three to five minutes, contain easy passages for soloists, two-part writing where men alternate against women, and occasional verses where the accompaniment drops out for make room for some simple 4-part a cappella singing. So there is plenty of textual variety in the sound - modulations, descants and interesting rhythms........ I approve of the idea behind this book greatly!
