This piece was commissioned by the Indiana Bandmasters Association and was simultaneously premiered by eight regional honor bands throughout Indiana on November 20, 1988. As the title implies, 'In Celebration' is an exuberant piece, filled with the uplifting melodies and interesting syncopated rhythms that have become the trademark of John O’Reilly’s compositions.
