This project stems from the shared passion of Silvio Celeghin and Federica Iannella for operatic music. From transcriptions of overtures for piano four hands (Ed. R icordi) and from the analysis of original scores, the two performers have tried - retracing the historic performance practices - to imitate the orchestral language peculiarities through the colours and the expressive features of the organ of Padre Davide da Bergamo, universally recognized as a symbol of “theatricality” organ. This instrument is the ideal equivalent of Verdi’s orchestration sound model, deeply different from European orchestration.
