Rockschool Drums 2006-2012 Grade 4

Drums exams put performance at the heart of the exam. Each grade has a wide choice of repertoire that covers all the key skills required at that level. Our tunes are written to reflect popular rock styles and inspire improvisation.

The book & CD contain everything needed to play drums at grade 4 level. In the book you will find all exam pieces in full drum notation. The accompanying CD has full stereo mixes of each tune, backing tracks to play along, tuning notes and spoken two bar count-ins for each piece.

Exam Structure

Rockschool graded examinations follow a holistic approach, due to the way that the underpinning knowledge integrates each section of the exam. This enables a better flow, and a more meaningful experience for candidates. A summary of the running order for each type of exam – Grade Exam and Performance Certificate – is given below, followed by a more detailed description of each section.
