Composer's note:

"In my late teens I played in a pop group around Northern Ireland and wrote a piece called PR Girl. Although it had cringeworthy lyrics (which I'm pleased to say will never be heard again), it did have a pretty catchy tune which inspired my first experiment in arranging for Saxtet.

As the group's bari player, I was frustrated with the plodding lines I usually got to play and so decided to arrange it as a baritone feature with a thumping part requiring an extra lung. The challenging changes of time signature can catch out unwary players as well as audience if they try to dance along."
