About
The German occupation of Denmark (1940-45) led to a renaissance of Danish popular songs.
The leading singer was tenor Aksel Schiøtz who after the war inspired Danish composers to write new art songs. The anthology spans the fifty years of the post-war period and shos an amazing variety in musical styles and choices of poetry.
