Repertoire Note
During his twelve years on the Brandeis University faculty, Fine played many roles: educator, mentor, administrator, and composer of a three-minute marching song, "Blue-White." The orchestral version's title references the Brandeis school colors and a campus architectural landmark, Usen Castle, known for its three original towers. It is dedicated to Brandeis University and its president, Abram Sachar.
