Contemporary Music at the Proms
A theme of the 2007 season is music commissioned for, or premiered at, the Proms that has entered the international repertoire. From the Boosey & Hawkes catalogue such works include MacMillan's percussion concerto Veni, Veni, Emmanuel that has received over 370 performances since 1992, and Birtwistle's Panic that caused such a stir with TV audiences in 1995.
