"Only Natalie Sleeth and few other choral composers have found effective ways to teach important Latin texts easily and musically. This "Ave Maria" teaches the prayer to children's choirs by having them echo the soprano soloist in a very musical way. Everyone has an opportunity to shine in this setting. For a piece that is basically in C Major, its ending in A Major is a marvelous surprise."

"Everything BP McCoy writes has a beautiful, lyric quality. With this "Ave Maria" she makes a timeless text accessible to young performers in setting that inspires and elevates. "

"I was honored to sing this piece with MECCA a few years ago. It is gorgeous, and truly shows off Mrs. McCoy's true talent as a composer and musician. I would recommend it to any fairly advanced choir. It is appropriate for church or concerts."

"This composition is truly beautiful- a very different version of a familiar favorite.
It really highlights the soprano soloist's voice and is an easy way to introduce an important Latin text to children because they echo other voices throughout.
Highly recommended!"

"This wonderful work has inspired me. Working two groups together, one older and one younger, gives the feeling of a lighted atmosphere. The soprano solo featured throughout the song is beautiful. This song brings a new light to a a familiar song with the composer's own interpretation. Highly recommended for a mixed voice choir! "
