Based on Benjamin Britten's opera "A Midsummer Night's Dream, Op.64", this 15-minute choral suite was arranged and adapted by Lee Kesselman, and he has remained true to Britten's original score, with some adaptations to lend itself to a choral ensemble. These four choruses can be performed singly or as a suite. The editor has added some optional introductory lines, using words of shakespeare which help to frame each chorus. This work presents an excellent and accessible opportunity for young singers to experience the operatic works of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century - Benjamin Britten. Duration: ca. 15:00.
