Mark-Anthony Turnage is one of the most admired and widely performed British composers of his generation.
Turnage was the LPO’s Composer in Residence for five years until 2010, during which time the LPO released two highly acclaimed CDs of his orchestral music.
This final volume contains the recording of the world première of Mambo, Blues and Tarantella with soloist Christian Tetzlaff, as well as the first released recordings of On Opened Ground and Texan Tenebrae.
