Looking Ahead: Avi Avital and the Kremerata Baltica perform the world premiere of Clyne’s Three Sisters (for Mandolin and String Orchestra) at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival this summer in Germany. Her piece The Seamstress also gets featured in the Aspen Music Festival this summer, featuring violin soloist Jennifer Koh.

Also during the 2017-2018 season, This Midnight Hour receives its Italian, Austrian, and UK premieres. Clyne’s recent orchestral work RIFT, which premiered at the Cabrillo Festival last August, will be performed by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in April 2018, first in Fort Worth before the orchestra brings the work to The Kennedy Center in Washington DC for its East Coast premiere.

Additionally, Clyne is developing a new opera, Eva, as part of her OPERA America grant.
"[Anna Clyne is] an artist who writes from the heart, who defies categorization, and who reaches across all barriers and boundaries. Her compositions are meant to be played by skilled musicians and can reach different audiences, no matter what their background."
