Rêves

In his youth Prokofieff adored Scriabin and in Dreams he pays a touching tribute to the older composer, answering Scriabin’s early Reverie (daydream) with a gently opulent vision of the kind of dreams that come to us at night. This intimate and unashamedly romantic orchestral miniature shows a strikingly unusual side to Prokofieff’s character.
