The inspiration behind Enrico Chapela's MAGNETAR, comes from an out-of-this-world destination. A type of neutron star, a magnetar is the most magnetic object yet detected in the universe. MAGNETAR is co-commissioned by organizations on three continents: the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra.
