Due to its moderate technical difficulty, manageable length and overall positive mood, it can be tackled even by amateur choirs. The mass was commissioned for the Mariakören, the choir of the Västerås cathedral, Sweden in the Diocese of Västerås (Dioecesis Arosiensis).
