how we got here (fourth evolution) was commissioned by Aimee McDonald’s Ann Arbor-based dance company Terpsichore’s Kitchen Dance Theatre for use at the Fringe Fest in Edinburgh, Scotland for twenty-one performances in August of 2003. A pre-recorded version was heard both there and at the Ann Arbor Summer Dance Works, where it received three preview performances in June of 2003.
