The Dream of Urlo

‘‘The Dream of Ulro’ - Ulro is our material world which, according to Blake's mythology, was created by the evil spirit Urizm in the form of a dream (i.e. all of us who live on earth - on Ulro - actually see a long dream, as it were, while we are here). For Blake, this is one of the four parts of the universe. Dima's poem can be understood in the sense of ‘Life on earth is coming to an end’. According to Blake, our life is such a dream. It is different for everyone - better for some, worse for others. Dima loved his life very much, he was basically always happy and even wrote on his Facebook page from the hospital a few days before his death: ‘I am very happy to have been on this earth’.’ (Elena Firsova)
