Nachtbild mit Wetterleuchten

‘Following my large-scale two-hour cycle of ‘Four Quartets’ for various string quartet ensembles, of which the Minguet Quartet premiered the final part, ‘Four Quartets. IV: Prospekt Mira,’ in 2024, I turned to a new string quartet, ‘Nachtbild mit Wetterleuchten,’ for the Arditti Quartet. The premiere took place at the Museum Wiesbaden as part of a memorial concert for Walter Fink, the great patron of New Music who died in 2018, along with a book presentation on Fink's work. ‘Nachtbild mit Wetterleuchten’ continues my nocturne cycle for various ensembles and conceives of daytime as more than just an idyll and a period of rest.’ (Jüri Reinvere)
