Composer's Notes
Written as companion music to Benjamin Britten's 'Four Sea Interludes', in Anna Lapwood's organ transcription, this composition earned Kristina an Ivors Academy nomination in the Choral category in 2022.
The four movements mirror the movements of Britten's seminal 'Four Sea Interludes' from his opera Peter Grimes. Having grown up hearing and studying this opera, it was an immense privilege to be able to write my four choral movements as a homage to the great composer.
