Blaufox joins Boosey’s New York office to spearhead composer and repertoire promotion strategy for the company’s expansive activities in North and South America.
Boosey & Hawkes is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Blaufox as its new Director of Promotion in the New York office. Blaufox—together with Carol Ann Cheung, Director of Marketing & PR—will lead the development and implementation of composer and repertoire promotion strategy for the company’s expansive activities in North and South America. Blaufox may be reached by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and by phone at 212-358-5365.
A specialist in 20th-century and contemporary music, Blaufox previously served as Associate Director of Programs and Promotion at the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music from 2015-2019. She comes to her new position with a deep knowledge of the Boosey catalog, having worked for eight years in the B&H Rental Library (2007-2015), moving up the ranks to eventually manage the operations of the team from 2012 to 2015.
Vice President Steven Lankenau states: “We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Blaufox back to Boosey & Hawkes. Her many years of experience working with our back catalog paired with her passion to promote new works by our roster of living composers will lead her to thrive in this position.”
Blaufox earned her bachelor’s degree in music education with a concentration in oboe at Houghton College, as well as a master’s degree in historical musicology with a focus on 20th-century music from the City College of New York.
