Camille Pépin signs with Boosey & Hawkes
Boosey & Hawkes is pleased to announce a new worldwide publishing agreement with acclaimed French composer Camille Pépin.
Boosey & Hawkes, a Concord company, is delighted to welcome the music of Camille Pépin to its catalogue and to embark on a new publishing relationship. One of the most widely performed composers of her generation, 35-year-old Camille Pépin is known as the leading figure of the current wave of young French composers who draw on a wide palette of technique and expression, eschewing the modernism favoured by previous generations. She is particularly acclaimed for her orchestral works which display a strong sense of colour, texture and movement. The new worldwide publishing agreement with Boosey & Hawkes covers all future works, while her existing earlier works remain with publishers Billaudot, Durand-Salabert-Eschig & Jobert.
Recent scores by Camille Pépin include the orchestral work Inlandsis (2023), a violin concerto for Renaud Capuçon entitled La Nuit n'est jamais complète (2025). Eau – Matière, the first work to be published by Boosey & Hawkes, is a substantial piece for solo cello which was premiered by Yo-Yo Ma in February 2026. Future commissions under the new contract include orchestral works, concertos and chamber music. Pépin’s music is influenced by themes ranging from the poetry of Paul Éluard, through art and cosmology, to nature and environmental issues.
Camille Pépin commented:
“I am very happy to join Boosey & Hawkes and feel this as a true privilege. It has been my dream publisher since my teenage years, representing so many living composers I deeply admire. The company’s commitment to today’s music and its long-term artistic vision strongly resonate with my work, and I very much look forward to the projects ahead with this wonderful team.”
Emma Kerr, Senior Vice President, Global Promotion, Boosey & Hawkes commented:
“Camille Pépin’s music is expressive, inspiring and reflective of our time: the perfect addition to the Boosey & Hawkes catalogue. She is among the most gifted of today’s young composers and we are excited to work with her music as she continues to move audiences with her exquisitely-crafted works.”

"Pépin embodies the ambitious new wave of a generation of composers who break free from the linguistic boundaries between different schools to champion unique gestures, timbres, and textures."
Libération
“…orchestral sonorities, multi-coloured textures, and the rich potential offered by layering different sections have always held a particular fascination for her.”
