Sinopsis

The nouveau riche Lord Pitzelberger wants to introduce himself to society by means of a family concert. Ladies and gentlemen from the noblest circles have been invited to listen to a singing performance featuring three celebrated Italians virtuosos who are talked about by the whole city. But at the last moment, not only the best guests, but the singers as well withdraw their participation. Pitzelberger is threatened by disaster, when suddenly Casimir, the lover of Pitzelberger's daughter Ernestine (unpopular because of his low rank), has a bright idea. The concert will take place, with Casimir, Ernestine and Pitzelberger themselves acting as the Italians. The expert audience is taken in by the deception and Casimir is rewarded with the hand of Ernestine.
