Synopsis

A pilot stranded in the desert recounts, in his own voice, his wondrous encounter with the Little Prince. The young traveler tells him of his quest to find a true friend. In his journey across distant planets, the Little Prince has already come upon a number of curious figures: a king who issues only such commands as would be fulfilled regardless, a vain man, a drunkard who drinks to forget, and a businessman who counts the stars and claims them as his own.
On Earth, he discovered a garden of roses and was disheartened to realize that his beloved rose at home is not unique in the vastness of the universe. Yet his longing for her draws him back. To return to his asteroid, the Little Prince must face death, for he cannot take his earthly body with him under any circumstances…
