Synopsis

Dad is at work. Lisa and Hagen want to secretly bake him a cake for his upcoming birthday, just like Mum used to do. It’s easy – the recipe is in the cookbook, and the ingredients are in the fridge. Just keep stirring at a steady pace. No eggs? You can replace them with tomatoes. No milk either... Hang on a minute, it was there just now. Is the fridge eating the food? This and that still needs to be replaced, and after a wild kitchen battle, the “dough” finally goes into the oven.

Suddenly there’s a rumbling. The fridge shakes and smokes, its door flies open, and Schwartenmagen [type of sausage similar to brawn] tumbles out with a bang. This descendant of the stuffed sausage family is a rather bloated fellow. He devours all the expired food which has been forgotten in the fridge – and not only that. His hunger is insatiable. He demands more and more, pesters the children and sprawls out on Dad’s seat at the table, farting loudly. In the end, there is nothing left to eat except the cake, which now smells delicious coming out of the oven.

Schwartenmagen takes a nap until the cake has cooled down enough. Meanwhile, the children discuss how to get rid of the monster. Finally, they have a brilliant idea: they spike the cake with plenty of chilli. The awakened glutton cannot control himself, even after the first super-spicy bites. Finally, the agonising fire in his guts drives him back into the cooling refrigerator. When Dad comes home and looks inside, to everyone’s surprise, the refrigerator is empty. Well, every sausage has its end.
