B&H is proud to announce the launch of Windependence, a major new series of repertoire essentials for wind band.
Windependence offers exciting, unique and accessible music, showcasing original compositions alongside transcriptions from the operatic, orchestral and choral traditions, ideal for performance at concerts and festivals.
To assist band masters, Windependence music is helpfully graded at three performance levels: Apprentice, Master and Artist.
Transcriptions and original works of moderate length for less experienced instrumentalists who possess limited technical proficiency.
Works for high school and college groups with solid technical proficiency and good interpretative skills.
Challenging and imaginatively scored works, ideal for the finest high school, university and professional ensembles.
"Congratulations to Boosey & Hawkes and Advisor Craig Kirchhoff for launching a new and exciting Wind Band series. I urge all band directors to investigate this new repertoire. I’m confident that you’ll discover music that will prove exciting, adventurous and interesting to both you and your students".
