Composer's Notes
Invocation for Peace was originally the final movement of my now non-existent Symphony of Peace. I took only the main melodic line and re-composed it for treble voices in unison with two trumpets and two trombones (instrumentation can be variable according to resources: for example strings and/or woodwinds). The character of both music and text is religious but non-denominational - an aspiration towards the unity of mankind.
