Leon Gurvitch, born in 1979 in Minsk, Belarus, writes and plays music that is rooted in classical music and incorporates influences from Russian folklore, oriental and Latin American music along with jazz and klezmer. The album Poetic Whispers brings together six piano pieces that combine poetic melancholy and virtuosic drive. They are aimed at both the ambitious amateur pianist and the professional who knows no musical boundaries.
