Reflection is an instrumental movement, scored for string orchestra, from Kim André Arnesen’s large-scale choral work 'The Stranger'. It is presented here in an arrangement for violin & piano. Arnesen was inspired by research showing the emotional effect of having eye contact with a stranger for only a few minutes. Studies have shown that this can develop deeper trust and empathy for each other. The idea was to have the audience facing each other to make eye contact during the performance. Piano score and separate violin part included.
