This piano transcription of a song inspired by Christina Rossetti’s Dream Land explores a world of reflection, longing and dreamlike stillness. Gentle, flowing textures and expressive melodic lines gradually give way to more animated and impassioned writing, before the music returns to a quieter, more contemplative mood. Subtle shifts of colour and harmony shape an emotional journey that moves between serenity and intensity, evoking a sense of rest, yearning and inner reflection.
