Compared to the rather plentiful Baroque repertoire, not much 19th century music has been transcribed for marimba. Kaiser's transcriptions of four Caprices by the renowned cellist and composer Alfredo Piatti (1822-1901) are a contribution to the repertoire that will be equally pleasing to marimbists and to their listeners.
