The title relates to school experiences, as the work, composed in 1993, was dedicated ''To the memory of my old teachers - Franciszek Skolyszewski and Stefan Smiczka''. The work - with its flickering, micro-polyphonic texture, typical of the Cracow composer, is a gift - in the form of a fully-formed sound language - for the masters of his youth paying homage to them and praising their work on the shaping of the foundations of his compositional skills. It was performed for the first time in 1995 by the Sinfonietta Cracovia orchestra conducted by Pawel Przytocki.
