DIETRICH BUXTEHUDE
Organ Works vol. 4
Bine Bryndorf, organ

Dietrich Buxtehude, composer

About
The Danish-born organ master Dietrich Buxtehude’s (c.1637-1707) music greatly influenced the younger J.S. Bach with its clarity of line, its nobility and its often daring harmonic invention, all combined in the stylus phantasticus. This exclusively authentic recording of Buxtehude's complete organ works takes us to Stockholm and the church of Buxtehude's "most noble and honoured friend", Gustav Düben, who is also responsible for handing down most of Buxtehude’s oeuvre.

Reviews
This is proving to be a very fine series ... Bryndorf shows herself to be the perfect advocate for and interpreter of these all-too-rarelyheard pieces.
(10/10 ClassicsToday.com on Vol. 2 - 8.226008)

Bryndorf proves an elegant stylist, using the full range of the instrument. Impressive!

Bine Bryndorf presents her recording of Buxtehude’s complete organ works with authority … Plenty of drama, contrast and excitement.
(Early Music Today on Vol. 2 - 8.226008)

Bryndorf's Buxtehude set, when complete, will be highly recommendable - she plays with great beauty and insight on organs of high quality.
(Classical Music Web on Vol. 3 - 8.226023)
