An imaginative single movement for bassoon exploring the potential of an instrument much neglected in solo music. Mostly lyrical in style, Causton utilises the range of timbres and sonorities the bassoon can muster from the resonant bass notes with which it is mostly associated to the expressiveness of its higher register. Ideal as a recital piece or solo study.
