Kotzwara Battle of Prague (1788 ) arranged by Czerny. During much of the 19th century The Battle of Prague was one of the most often played and popular of all concert pieces. Audiences were much more likely to hear it than a sonata by Mozart, Beethoven, or Schubert. It features in the literature of many writers including Jane Austen, and Mark Twain. This solo piano version was edited by the great piano pedagogue Carl Czerny. This absolute gem is once again available to delight audience.
