Balalaïka is a work for solo marimba, ideal for a student in the 3rd cycle.

Made up of three parts, the piece charms with its harmonic and melodic richness. The title comes from the playing used in the first part, which is similar to that of the Russian balalaika, a triangular-shaped instrument consisting of only three plucked strings.
