The output of Gottfried Finger (ca 1656-1730), a native of Olomouc, includes many sonatas & trio sonatas for a variety of melody instruments & basso continuo. Many of these compositions were published within Finger's lifetime. Sonata in F major was published as part of the collection of ten sonatas for recorder & bass continuo Op3 in Amsterdam around the year 1700.
