L'argile, la forme, le ravin du monde (Argil, shape, the world’s ravine), can be read Le matériau, la forme, le Tao (Material, shape, Tao). There are but four ingredients: my fetish tone row, a very long melody, a touch of folklore and some small sparks. This piece was premiered in Montreal by the violinist, Émilie Caron during the “Semaine de la musique québécoise pour cordes” in November 2001.
