Based on a range of cross-curricular topic areas, each unit provides a logical framework of performing, composing and appraising activities. Will enable your children to develop musical skills, knowledge and understanding and begin to express thoughts, feelings and ideas about and through music. Topics in the Key Stage 1 book include: Animals, At School, Colour, Journeys, Seasons, Time, Toys and Water. There is also help with hand signals for directing activities, tape recording children's work, appraising music with children, notation and percussion. Time-saving recordings of all the musical examples referred to are available on the cassette.
