'Structure in Metal. Katarzyna Kobro in memoriam'' for solo trumpet was composed in 2006. I was stimulated to write the piece by the output of Katarzyna Kobro, an artist, who in the twenty-year interwar period revolutionized thinking about sculpture with her works. The form of the composition has no strict extra-musical inspirations, being only a reflection of my associations with the artist's works. [J. Plonka] ''Bugle Call'' is in the nature of a signal, the performance style typical of the trumpet. The form simple, transparent and thoroughly contemporary in its musical language also draws to a certain extent on the traditional shape of the bugle call; moreover, because of its character, it emphasizes the strong link between the military signal and the trumpet, the instrument to which it is peculiar.
