This collection of pieces was written with the aim of introducing players to the rhythmic elements of 'Latin American' music at an elementary level. They are written within a comfortable range of the instrument to allow maximum concentration on style and interpretation. Most of the pieces are in the lower register. For the purpose of accompaniment and improvisation, chord symbols have been included in all parts.
